Archery Australia has partnered with etrainu to transform the way archery coaches, officials, and athletes in Australia access and benefit from educational resources.
As the governing body of archery across the country, Archery Australia oversees the development of high-performance archery, as well as pathways and development programs. With a membership of over 8,000, Archery Australia is rapidly growing, particularly in the para archery discipline.
The growth of Archery Australia’s membership means that the organisation requires a training and education program to meet members' needs and sustainably keep up with the development demand.
Archery Australia used to rely solely on face-to-face workshops, which reduced accessibility for all parties and placed a heavy administrative burden on the organisation.
etrainu’s platform will allow Archery Australia to modernise their educational framework, reduce repetitiveness, and introduce a blended approach of online and face-to-face learning. Through etrainu, Archery Australia will also have the capability to centralise its resources and membership base—making reporting more efficient and the user experience much easier. Archery Australia will also use etrainu’s functionality to leverage qualifications from other platforms to allow seamless transfer of certifications.
Michael Maclennan, National Operations Manager at Archery Australia, said, “Archery Australia is excited to partner with etrainu for our online learning and content management. This collaboration promises to keep our athletes, coaches, officials, and the entire archery community well-informed and empowered.”
etrainu VP of Sales and Revenue Cameron O’Riordan said, “We’re excited to help Archery Australia digitise their education. We’re passionate about assisting organisations to innovate, and we look forward to seeing what Archery Australia will achieve with the etrainu platform.”
As part of the implementation, Archery Australia plans to integrate its ecosystem, replacing existing platforms and simplifying processes.
The platform will initially be used for Archery Australia’s national programs, starting with athletes who will trial the platform in December. The next focus will be on building the coaching framework, with a full-scale launch planned for next year. A number of sports psychology courses relating to mental performance have been roadmapped for the platform.
One of Archery Australia’s core values is inclusion, so being able to deliver a platform and training that is more accessible will really change the way education is provided to its members.
Archery Australia’s vision is to streamline its education and training efforts to better prepare its members for events such as the Olympics, Paralympics, and World Championships. With the partnership with etrainu, Archery Australia will empower coaches, officials, and athletes to achieve new levels of excellence.
Archery Australia is a not-for-profit community and membership-based organisation recognised by the government at all levels as the national governing body for the sport of archery in Australia.

The National level of the sport provides standardised rules and regulations, policies and procedures, awards and classifications while delivering open and fair events and equity and participation at all levels of the sport.
