For the past two seasons, etrainu has proudly supported the Inclusive Beaches Equipment Program, an initiative created by Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA). It supports the inclusion of people of different abilities and backgrounds to join their local club and learn to be safe at the beach.
Over 40 Surf Life Saving clubs across Australia are currently running inclusion programs for people of different abilities. Through the program, the content and resources available aim to assist Surf Life Saving clubs in supporting the inclusion of people of different abilities and backgrounds to join their local clubs and learn to be safe and confident at the beach.
The sponsorship will help enable the supply of nipper/torpedo boards to 30 Clubs nationally (pictured below).
The Boards will help boost the inclusive nipper programs delivered by Clubs this season across the country. The Boards were manufactured by SLSA-approved supplier Demon Surfboards and express delivered by SLSA’s national partner, DHL.
As SLSA’s eLearning provider, etrainu is dedicated to helping their clients build their communities, whether that be through education or in any other way.
With a strong presence in the Care and Support sector and partnerships with leading disability brands, including National Disability Services (NDS), sponsoring the Inclusive Beaches Equipment Program made complete sense for etrainu.
etrainu CEO Paul Hoon said, “We’re excited to play a role in the inclusive beaches initiative. etrainu’s mission is to build exceptional communities, and it’s remarkable to see that mission perfectly align with our customers who support people with a disability. We look forward to seeing the community using the inclusive boards on our beaches as our relationship with Surf Life Saving Australia continues to grow stronger.”
A spokesperson for SLSA’s Learning & Development team said, “Without the ongoing support of etrainu and the Australian Sports Commission, these grants would not be sufficiently funded to offer the level of support for inclusive nippers programs across the country. Considering the majority of the programs are run over a large portion of the season by volunteers, who do a fantastic job of providing a supportive and fun environment for children with higher needs, the support from etrainu has been invaluable in supporting those programs to continue to run on our beaches. We applaud etrainu’s involvement”.
