USA Team Handball has partnered with etrainu to implement its first eLearning platform dedicated to their diverse community. The implementation of this platform aids their mission to be able to develop, promote, educate and grow the sport of Team Handball at all levels in the United States.
USA Team Handball (USATH) is the national governing body of Olympic handball and the only organization recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and International Handball Federation to lead handball initiatives in the United States. There are 35 clubs and over 1,200 participants in the United States.
Historically, USATH relied on their national team alums to assist with learning and development, particularly for coaches. In an effort to standardize and streamline the training process, USATH looked toward an online learning solution.
etrainu was USATH’s preferred choice when it came to tailored online learning solutions designed for the sports sector—the partnership with etrainu marked USA Team Handball’s very first implementation of an eLearning platform. The platform was created to provide accessible education that elevates the awareness of the sport for its new members while also providing certifications to its existing members to develop professionally.
The biggest benefit of the new eLearning platform will be its ease of use and accessibility via USATH’s membership portal, Sport:80. By virtue of the Sport:80 integration with etrainu, USATH members' eLearning accounts will be automatically created, and their log-in credentials authenticated using Single Sign-On (SSO). By integrating with etrainu’s platform and Sport:80, USATH will have a more scalable and flexible learning environment.
USATH will deliver a diverse range of courses for members to expand their knowledge and skills within the sport. Initially, they will focus on training centered around beach handball. Two courses will be made available via the launch of the platform: Beach Scorekeeper and Beach Referee, which look at facilitating the officiating of the discipline. USATH will also use Chameleon Creator to create more courses and ensure members have access to a comprehensive library of resources.
“We’re delighted to partner with USA Team Handball and play an instrumental part in helping their clubs, coaches, and referees gain access to quality educational resources,” said Cameron O’Riodan, VP of Sales & Revenue at etrainu. “We’re particularly confident to provide an integrated solution that will enable USA Team Handball to consolidate all learning in a single place to sync to their membership portal and our partner, Sport:80.”
USA Team Handball will leverage the etrainu platform to better serve the needs of their members and provide the necessary infrastructure to clubs, coaches, and referees. In doing so, they will continue to grow the team handball community and foster a passion for the sport.
