The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, together with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DHDA), has launched a training initiative to support a strong, capable, and confident workforce.

About the training
This free training package includes three short courses. Learn about positive behaviour support, human rights and trauma informed support. Build skills to make a real impact by learning how to support people in safe, respectful and person-centred way.

About the courses
Positive Behaviour Support looks at why a person may use behaviours that can harm themselves or others. It focuses on meeting the person’s needs, building their skills and creating safe supportive environments. The goal is to improve quality of life and protect their human rights.
These courses work together to build a full understanding of Positive Behaviour Support.
Positive Behaviour Support
This course will help you learn what Positive Behaviour Support is and how to use it in your work.
Time to complete the course: 1 hour and 30 minutes (self-paced)

Human Rights and You - Zero Tolerance
This course will help you learn about human rights, why they are important and how to protect the rights of the people you support.

Trauma-Informed Support Films
These short films will help you understand what trauma is and how it might affect the people you support.
