etrainu is excited to announce that we will be renewing our sponsorship of the Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) Inclusive Beaches Equipment Program. The program supports the inclusion of people of different abilities and backgrounds to join their local club and learn to be safe at the beach.
2023 saw the largest influx of applications for the Inclusive Beaches Program. Last year, 36 clubs benefited from a range of equipment including accessible boards and other beach equipment designed to improve accessibility on our beaches.
As SLSA’s eLearning provider, etrainu is dedicated to helping their clients build their communities, whether that be through education or in any other way.
With a strong presence in the disability sector and partnerships with leading disability brands, including National Disability Services (NDS), renewing our commitment to the Inclusive Beaches Equipment Program was a straightforward process.
etrainu CEO Paul Hoon said, “it has been a privilege to see the impact the Inclusive Beaches Program has had on the community. Seeing the demand and awareness for inclusivity grow has been exceptional. We are excited to continue to fund the program and support our partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia.”
Darwin Surf Life Saving Club were the recipients of the G-Board, a preferred board by participants in inclusive nippers.
"We are excited to be able to deliver an inclusive nipper program on the beach in Darwin for the first time and with the help of the Inclusive Beaches Grant funding to purchase the G-Board for our program," says Stephanie Burton, Grants Officer at Darwin SLSC.
A spokesperson for SLSA’s Learning & Development team reflected on the positive impact of etrainu and the Australian Sports Commission.
“We are very appreciative of the support we receive from the Australian Sports Commission to support our inclusive programs across the country. This support, along with that from etrainu makes a significant difference to the programs, volunteers and participants. We are delighted that etrainu have extended their partnership and thank them for their ongoing support that will continue to make a significant and positive impact on the lives of all involved."
etrainu is excited to announce a new partnership with Sir Graham Lowe, marking the launch of "Kick for the Seagulls - Community Coaching".
