etrainu launched Respect at Work, a new training program aimed at promoting safer workplaces in line with the amended Sex Discrimination Act 1984.

Insights from a 2024 survey found that 40% of workplace leaders are not aware of their new legal obligations to prevent workplace sexual harassment, and only 76% of leaders know that workplace sexual harassment is illegal.

To address these gaps, etrainu developed the Respect at Work library to help organisations recognise, prevent, and call out inappropriate behaviour, meet their legal requirements, and reduce risk.

The program was created in-house by the etrainu Studio team to respond to our customers' needs and help them take the first steps towards compliance.

“Our goal was to create a product that was compassionate and sensitive; something that was mindful of the history and commonness of workplace harassment and discrimination,” said Aneeta Rodricks, Head of Studio at etrainu. “We wanted to tell a story that would resonate with learners and drive meaningful change around compliance and respect.”

Access to Respect at Work is available through etrainu Learn, our simple, intuitive online training platform, with no additional platform fees. You can also access the training through a custom LMS setup or SCORM files in other learning systems.

Learners will find four courses on:

  • Sex Discrimination in the Workplace
  • Positive Duty
  • Guide to the Seven Standards Part 1
  • Guide to the Seven Standards Part 2

The courses are packed with real-world scenarios and practical strategies to help leaders and employees recognise, respond to, and call out discrimination and harassment in the workplace. In doing so, leaders and employees take a powerful first step in fostering safer, more inclusive, and respectful workplaces.
