October 9, 2023

etrainu is excited to announce our partnership with Working with Parents in Sport (WWPIS), a renowned expert in coach-parent-athlete relationships in youth sports.

As a UK-based company, WWPIS works globally with numerous sporting organisations to help young athletes realise their full potential, both in and out of sport. WWPIS brings extensive subject matter expertise to the partnership with founder Gordan MacLelland’s 20+ years of experience as a teacher, coach and sporting parent.

The partnership will see Working with Parents in Sport and etrainu deliver a series of courses aimed at empowering coaches and parents to foster positive engagement and relationships with young athletes.

CEO Gordon MacLelland said.

“We are extremely excited to be working with etrainu to create some incredible learning courses for those involved in the sports system. This adds to our portfolio of products allowing us to reach more and more people around the world, something that we are incredibly passionate about.”

“etrainu is excited to collaborate with Working with Parents in Sport,” said Cameron O’Riordan, VP of Sales and Revenue at etrainu. “WWPIS’s commitment to promoting healthy and enjoyable sporting experiences for young athletes perfectly aligns with etrainu’s mission of building exceptional communities through high-quality online learning solutions.”

The first course to be released is Engage: Building Positive Relationships with Young Athletes’ Parents. Based on years of experience working with coaches at all levels, this course equips coaches with all they need to know to effectively engage with parents and deliver positive outcomes for young athletes.

Learners can access the course through the following two pathways:

  • Via the etrainu learning management system (LMS), making it more convenient and accessible or
  • Via SCORM, for seamless integration into existing educational systems

Other courses are in the works for future release, which focus on the parent-coach relationship, supporting children positively during their early sporting experiences, and sports performance parenting.
