Leisure Networks

How Leisure Networks enhanced their workforce training and compliance.

For over three decades, Leisure Networks has pursued a vision of capable, healthy people and inclusive communities.

As a not-for-profit community organisation, Leisure Networks believes in a world that fosters inclusion and where people belong. Their guiding mission is to connect people with the community, and they concentrate their efforts to achieve this in all they do—every day.

Leisure Networks seeks to make a difference through their wide range of NDIS services and programs. They focus on building life skills, confidence, and social connections. More importantly, they focus on choice and control, supporting people with disability to lead more independent lives and achieve their aspirations.

NDS Workforce Essentials

As humans, we make sure we know someone is safe to provide support and has every tool they need in their toolkit–regardless of what happens.

So, the value we found in etrainu and the NDS Workforce Essentials is that it’s basically a one-stop shop. Everything we need our members to know is in the library.

And it’s a great benefit to have one place and one interface for our staff to go to, so they’re not across different platforms. Our team can complete their training easily and quickly.

THE CHALLENGE

Being compliant and delivering quality supports and safeguards

With over 30 years of experience in the care and support sector, Leisure Networks recognise their role as enablers of delivering quality supports and safeguards to people with disability.

Through their experience, Leisure Networks also knows the importance of being compliant with the rules, regulations, and legislation—which means staying current with best practices. With a team of over 100 members and growing, Leisure Networks needed to ensure all staff within the organisation were well-equipped to do the job well and competently and support people in the best way possible.

So, Leisure Networks needed a solution that could be easily accessible to all team members and provide them with a comprehensive range of courses that were aligned with the NDIS and industry’s requirements.

THE SOLUTION

A comprehensive learning library and easy-to-use platform

Leisure Networks found etrainu’s dynamic solutions to be exceptionally valuable.

The NDS Workforce Essentials covered lots of ground, ensuring that the Leisure Networks team had access to a variety of courses, which provided all the necessary training and more.

Not only that, but the etrainu Learning Management System (LMS) made organisation and administration much more effortless. Members could access all the training in one single place and could complete courses at a pace that was comfortable for them.

The user-friendly interface of the LMS further simplified the training process. Leisure Networks found it straightforward to assign training to team members, as well as stay on top of reporting and compliance requirements.

THE RESULT

A more engaged, up-to-date workforce

The LMS and course library aligned perfectly with one of Leisure Network’s key behaviours: always learning.

Leisure Networks prides themselves on investing a lot of time and effort into learning and development. Through etrainu, they were able to deliver on this commitment and enforce their culture of learning, ensuring their team was more engaged and informed.

In doing so, Leisure Networks was able to leverage the etrainu platform to make sure their workforce is trained, competent, and confident in their jobs—which has had a huge impact on their customers.
