etrainu announces landmark U.S. Center for SafeSport agreement
The announcement was made at the opening of the company’s global headquarters in Brisbane and reinforces Queensland’s capacity to build, scale, and export world-class digital solutions.
Leading Queensland education technology company, etrainu, has signed a landmark agreement with the U.S. Center for SafeSport to deliver the organisation’s online safeguarding education across the US Olympic and Paralympic movement.
The multi-year agreement was announced by etrainu CEO Paul Hoon at the opening of the company’s global headquarters in Brisbane’s CBD last night.
Mr Hoon was in the United States last week for the American Australian Association event in New York led by The Honourable David Crisafulli MP, Premier of Queensland.
He said the agreement reinforces Queensland's capacity to build, scale, and export world-class digital solutions.
“The local education technology sector is thriving, and we remain committed to creating jobs right here in Brisbane.
“In the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, we are the technology managing the compliance, safety, and training of millions of sporting volunteers and officials across the state and around the globe.”
The Queensland Premier was also in attendance at last night's opening event, sharing his excitement about the state’s next chapter leading into the Olympics, and his optimistic view on etrainu investing in the state's training and education across sport, disability, aged care, and technology sectors.
“There's a real buzz and plenty of momentum in Queensland right now and when I see a rags-to-riches story where a business starts with a handful of people and grows to have a global headquarters, it's significant,” the Premier said.
“I can feel the optimism in our State and to have etrainu choose to invest in Queensland is an incredible endorsement, because it's clear this will have a major impact on thousands of people.”
After a global tender process, the Queensland-founded and headquartered company has been appointed to provide online learning solutions that will facilitate and distribute the organisation’s safeguarding education across all National Governing Bodies under the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
The U.S. Center for SafeSport joins etrainu’s global portfolio of high-profile clients and partners, including USA Track and Field, US Youth Soccer, Football Australia, Surf Life Saving Australia, Basketball Australia, Gymnastics Australia, Wheelchair Rugby Australia and USA Pickleball.
Authorised by the US Congress, the US Center for SafeSport is the nation’s independent, nonprofit organisation committed to ending sexual, physical and emotional abuse within Olympic and Paralympic sport.
“Not only does etrainu share our mission to protect athletes at every level, they are also a demonstrated international leader in e-learning,” SafeSport CEO and Olympic Gold Medalist Benita Fitzgerald Mosley said. “We are confident that etrainu can level up our capacity to deliver critical education at scale, and we are excited about the potential to engage learners in new and meaningful ways.”
