Course Overview
With 3 million Australians living with anxiety or depression, it is important for people to learn more about mental health. And with the conversation about mental health changing to a more open and accepting one, this means people are learning more and more about mental health.
etrainu’s Adult Mental Health module provides adults with an understanding of the:
- Mental health factors
- History of mental illness
- Types of practitioners that are involved in mental healthcare
- Difference between mental illness and mental wellness
Mental health is often mistaken for mental illness. Mental health means experiencing feelings of wellness and being free from mental illness. On the other hand, mental illness refers to experiencing mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and others.
This module will also delve into how we can strive for better mental health and how we play a role in ending the stigma around it.
