Course overview

Complex Care Essentials is built for the teams supporting people with high care needs. The library covers the conditions that come up most often in the home and in residential care: bowel care, catheter care, enteral feeding, asthma, diabetes, basic wound care, seizures, oxygen, ventilation, tracheostomy, severe dysphagia, advanced mealtimes, stoma care, and subcutaneous injections.

Ten competency checklists give organisations a structured way to assess hands-on skill alongside the eLearning. The library is mapped to 22 CPD points through the Nursing and Midwifery CPD requirements, so nursing staff can meet their annual obligations and providers can stand behind the training they assign.
